Post Remediation Verification

What to Expect from Post-Remediation Verification (PRV)

5 min read

PRV occurs after remediation is complete and before reconstruction. It includes visual inspection of the work area, verification of moisture levels, and post-remediation air & surface sampling against pre-defined clearance criteria.

Clearance criteria should be defined in the protocol — not invented after sampling. At Hurtler, PRV criteria are written into the protocol so contractors know exactly what 'pass' looks like.

If samples do not pass, the contractor returns to address findings; PRV is repeated. The independent assessor does not adjust criteria to fit results — that practice undermines the entire standard of care.

PRV is the final, independent line between a remediation contractor and a closed claim.
