Asbestos Inspection

Pre-renovation and pre-demolition asbestos inspections of buildings constructed before 1981 — performed by trained, independent inspectors.

Why it matters

Federal NESHAP and Texas TDSHS rules require inspection of pre-1981 structures before any renovation or demolition activity that disturbs suspect materials.

When is it needed?

Before renovation, demolition, real-estate transactions on older buildings, or as part of an environmental due-diligence package.

Who needs it?

Property owners, GCs, real-estate buyers/sellers, schools, public buildings, attorneys, and insurance carriers.

How we perform it

Walk-through survey, homogeneous-area sampling, PLM/TEM laboratory analysis, written inspection report.

Laboratory methods

NVLAP-accredited laboratories. PLM (EPA 600/R-93/116) and TEM as warranted.

Interpretation

Materials are categorized as ACM, presumed ACM, or non-ACM; recommendations align with regulatory thresholds.
